Dirk T. Pruis, MD

Dr. Pruis graduated with honors from Indiana University in Bloomington and received a medical degree from I.U. in 1980. He completed an orthopaedic residency at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne and at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto . Dr. Pruis practiced orthopaedics in Richmond, Indiana, for four years and then took a fellowship in Total Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery at Grant Medical in Columbus, Ohio, before coming to Cincinnati in 1990. He co-founded Ohio Valley Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, Inc. in 1991. Dr. Pruis has been recognized by his peers as one of Cincinnati Magazine's "Top Doctors".

Dr. Pruis is a distinguished member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Along with practicing general orthopaedics, his special interests include total joint replacement and fractures in adults and children.
