David E. Taylor, MD

Dr. Taylor was born and raised in Cincinnati. He graduated with honors from Walnut Hills High School and Kenyon College, where he was a four year letterman in soccer and track.

He received a medical degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1989 and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Milwaukee County Medical Center. Dr. Taylor then completed a fellowship year in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy in Adelaide, Australia. He joined Ohio Valley Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, Inc. in 1995.

Dr. Taylor is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Taylor also holds a subspecialty certificate from the American board of Orthopaedic Surgery in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

Along with practicing general orthopaedics, his special interests include sports medicine, ACL Reconstruction, Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair and knee and shoulder replacement. Dr Taylor serves as the team doctor for local high school teams and as the doctor for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training, a charity marathon program. He is an avid runner and has completed 11 marathons including the Boston Marathon and New York City Marathon.
